Precious began her first day of training on 4/20/22. I had been amateurly working with her since 8 weeks, but now we are official. I will be working with Precious over the next 5 weeks on basic training. After which, we then will be enrolling in Agility Training.
Class | Topic | Words used | How We Learned Them |
Day 1: 4/20/22 | learning basic commands | come, tug, go get it, bring it back, sit, leave it, drop it, place, uneven surfaces, name, name, name, and come. | I would mostly say the command when she performed it on her own. Treat and hand-rubbing. |
Day 2: 4/27/22 | catching your dog | Come, sit, down, place, paws up, off, bring it, leave it, drop it, touch, and new surfaces. | We played with paper plates and when she took the treat from it, then make eye contact with me, she got the next treat on the next plate. She also learned to go through my legs. Doorways still get her, though. |
