Movement Puzzles

The idea of movement puzzles is pretty new. It has been created by Marie Volgma from the U.K. The concept behind movement puzzles is to get your dog thinking for themselves, while burning energy, both physically and mentally. It can also be called "The 2-bowl game". Usually the handler is standing between to 2 bowls where she delivers treats after the dog goes through the course, but you can also use your hand to deliver treats, as shown in the video below. You must introduce your dog to the idea of the puzzle by having them close to you with no props besides moving around a single cone and going to the end of the course, at the 2 bowls.
After you can get some distance without mistakes, then you may move on to the next stage, which is showed in the video below, by adding a platform. I wouldn't do this all in one session, though. You need to grab like 10-15 treats at a time. NO MORE THAN THAT! For younger puppies, you'll need to start with fewer treats.
After your pup progresses through the course several times without fail, then you begin changing the course by adding distance between cones or obstacles.
These movements won't happen overnight. You need to be intentional in the placement of the course and in your timing of your clicker.
HAPPY MOVING!!!
